With the scent of strawberry, licorice and cane, pleasant acidity and full body, Indonesia Sumatra comes to our Grindery to take the place of India Valparai and tell its own story.
Sumatra, one of Indonesia's most famous islands, is considered to produce some of the best coffee beans in the world, while the Gayo region is one of the largest Arabica plantations in Southeast Asia.
Here the growers - members of the Arisarina Cooperative - through their cooperation, aim both to improve the quality of coffee grown in the highlands of the region, and to maintain and preserve the ecosystem as a place where high quality coffee will grow.
