A Microfarm with an Olympic medal!
The 31st limited edition Microfarm brings to our cup the history and values of the grower of the farm from which it originates, Haile Gebreselassie.
A world-renowned long-distance champion, Haile is a two-time Olympian, four-time World Champion and holder of 27 world records, for distances from 1,500 meters to the marathon.
Haile, after retiring from sports, focused on business in Ethiopia, also investing in coffee. He turned part of the 1,500 acres donated to him by the Ethiopian government in gratitude for his achievements he brought, into a stunning coffee farm employing more than 600 smallholders of high-quality specialty coffee. In addition to the overall sustainable farming practices applied and on which the producers are continuously trained, the area preserves 250 hectares of untouched forest land, an area recognized by UNESCO as a biosphere.
